  • Our official parking hub will be based at Burtons Reserve, however there are plenty of opportunities to park there, on Lymington rd (near the finish line) as well as directly behind St James school on George st (off Wattle Grove rd).

    xWe request people do not park on main rd or Mary st as you will inhibit local traffic and trade.

  • Entries close Thursday 2nd November at 5pm

  • No. You must enter online before Thursday 2nd November at 5pm.

  • The ‘Social Ride’ entry fee is inclusive of your insurance for the event.

    As ‘Hell of the South’ is classified as a race, you will either require a current AusCycling membership, or, if you do not have a current membership, you will be required to purchase a ‘one day license’ the day before the event. You can do so here.

    If you are signing up for Hell of the South without a license, please follow the entry portal as usual, pay the entry fee. Then, on Friday 3rd Nov, click this link to purchase your one day license. We will be sending out a reminder email to those who need to follow this process in the lead up to the race.

  • This year, we are running ‘Hell of the South’ as part of the AusCycling State Road Championships, as such, you will be automatically graded into your age category.

  • You will be asked to pick up your registration number from Loogana Park on the day from 9am.

  • Entry to either Cygnet Cycling Festival or the Hell of the South race.

    Your entry fee also ensures we run a smooth event and covers the following services: Partial road closures, Police Support, Ambulance Tasmania Support, SES support. It also ensures we are able to provide an aid station and other facilities at Burtons Reserve, timing services, SAG wagon support, online result service, rider insurance as well as rider photograph by Andy Rogers (@FameandSpear)

  • The event and race is primarily focused around road bikes - yes, you can ride your road bike on the gravel. However we welcome all bikes from E-bikes to mountain bikes and commuters. Bring what you have and have fun on the day!
