Cygnet Cycling Festival
The Southern most cycling race in Australia
Event Info
01 — Hell of the South
The main event and race around the picturesque Huon Valley town of Cygnet. 60km ride incorporating gruelling hills and an 8km gravel sector. This race is not for the faint hearted.
02 — Social event
For those less interested in racing but still want to enjoy the scenic and iconic route around the Cygnet Coast rd. A 26km ride, this ride takes you out of Cygnet, then turn left onto a closed Cygnet Coast rd.
03 — Juniors event
8km out and back along Cygnet Coast rd.
04 - Back on Your Bike
The team at Bicycle Network are going to be running their ‘Back on Your Bike’ program during the event aimed at getting you to dust off your old bike, move, get healthy and connect with others.
05 - Loongana Park
We have moved our event hub into Loogana Park (opposite Poolish and co) this year to help drive business into the township of Cygnet.
A number of bike shops, workshops, face painting and plenty of family friendly activities are going to be held at Loongana Park, right in the heart of Cygnet. So whether you’re racing, participating in an event or dragged along by bike mad family, we have something for you!
06 - Parking
Our official parking hub will be based at Burtons Reserve, however there are plenty of opportunities to park there, on Lymington rd (near the finish line) as well as directly behind St James school on George st (off Wattle Grove rd).
xWe request people do not park on main rd or Mary st as you will inhibit local traffic and trade.
